Welcome to the Sydenham High School's Library Resource Centre. Our library is staffed with a Teacher-Librarian, Ms. A. Saxe and a Library Technician, Mrs. E. Stuart.
We have eighteen computers available to students and teachers and four laptops for in-library use. Resources include: non-fiction books related to curriculum, a wide selection of fiction for reading pleasure and for independent novel study. Reference material: Encyclopedias, National Geographic Magazines, Atlases, medical periodicals, a selection of current magazines and daily copies of The Kingston Whig-Standard and the Toronto Star.
Our web area has a wealth of electronic resources for student use from school and from home: The Destiny Library catalogue: databases for searching library materials, on-line research databases, newspaper and magazine links, as well as other useful links, web search tools, and for teachers, education links.
We also operate a Library store for students to buy school supplies. Printing for curricular purposes is free, but there is a charge for photocopies and for print-outs for non-curricular use or for multiple copies.
