Welcome to the Sydenham High School Music Department Web Page! We are currently under construction, but look forward to the music departments history page in the near future! Like the school itself, our music department has a rich history or spirit, heritage, and success. The page will mostly consist of research from past yearbooks as well as our own general word of mouth knowledge. Through this page you will be able to find pictures of past music classes and info on the teachers that helped to shape our department into what it is now!

The SHS concert band has had a busy year this year. So far we have performed at the SHS Academic Awards Ceremony, as well as at all of SHS's feeder schools. We also played in the school's gym for our wind-up holiday concert. In late February, we will participate in the Kingston Kiwanis Music Festival and are thinking of heading to Ottawa for the Musicfest Canada Regionals around the same time.

As is our tradition of putting together a larger trip every other year, this year we are heading to New York City (May 5th - 8th) to participate/perform in the Heritage Music Festival and experience the sights and sounds of NYC.
