• An Evening in "Focus" - (posted on 2012-01-31 by Danny Lalonde)

On Thursday February 16th, from 6-8pm, the LDSB is hosting a Focus Program information evening. Parents and students are welcome to attend. The event will take place at the Invista Centre on the main floor in rooms A and B. Visit www.limestone.on.ca for more information.

• Course Selection - (posted on 2012-01-31 by Danny Lalonde)

This year, SHS is doing something differently! Students will select their 2012-13 courses online! Using software designed by MyBluePrint, students are able to track their achievement, plan for the future, and browse through available post-secondary options. After students select their courses, they will bring home a form which will need a parent or guardian's signature to confirm the course selection.

Our course calendar will be posted on this site in the near future so that parents and students can plan ahead and review course content and prerequisite requirements.

Course selection will take place between February 21st-28th.

If you have questions or concerns, contact Student Services at the school.

• Community Involvement Hours - (posted on 2011-12-02 by Danny Lalonde)

One of the often neglected graduation requirements is community service involvement. Students need to log at least 40 hours of volunteer work before the end of grade 12. All students are encouraged to fill out a form (available in Student Services)and return it to their guidance counsellor for processing.

If we don't have a record of your hours - you won't graduate. Some graduation awards are offered to students on the basis of their community service. Show you care - help a neighbour today!
