Council meetings are held the first Monday
of every month 7:00 p.m. at the school.
- Everyone
is welcome!
Babysitting is provided at every meeting free of charge. To
ensure a proper caregiver/child ratio please contact Dawn Votary
at 613-376-1035 with the number for children you are planning
to bring to the meeting.

Election at the Annual General Meeting Oct 3rd
The School Council's Annual General
Meeting is Monday, October 3rd at 6:45
in the school's Resource Centre.
Positions on the to be filled at this election
include:
- Secretary
- Fundraising Chair
- Members at Large
All Perth Road Public School parents
are welcome to come to the meeting, whether you wish
to run for council or not.
Once the AGM election is completed, a regular School Council meeting
will follow at 7:00 with the new Council members and any interested
parents.

As we near the end of June, it comes time to say goodbye to our
2010/2011 school year. With this
comes great joy along with great sadness. It’s been an
amazing year! Watching the students grow has been an
experience all on its own. We’ve seen changes in the classrooms
and changes on the playground. We’re all proud to say
that we’re the parents of the students at Perth Road Public School.
It’s going to be hard to say goodbye for the summer but, we look
forward to seeing everyone again in September and wish
each and every family a relaxing and enjoyable summer vacation.
As a new parent council team, we were welcomed with open arms
and supported by all the teachers and staff at Perth Road Public
School. We’d like to thank everyone for their support
and want you all to know how much your support means
to us all.
To all the parents in our Perth Road Public School community,
thank you for the support you’ve given us through fundraising,
volunteering at the many functions, attending the many functions,
attending meetings and for being there when we’ve needed help.
If it wasn’t for you, this school would not be what it is today.
Once again, the attendance at our Annual Family Fun Night
was unbelievable. Thank you for coming out for an evening of fun,
food and laughter. We do hope everyone enjoyed the evening.
We look forward to meeting again in September and hope to see
many new faces and look forward to and welcome new ideas being
brought to the table.
We wish all teachers, staff, students and families, a
safe, fun filled, relaxing and enjoyable summer.

meetings. |

Board Trustees are elected officials responsible for
the operation of public schools in their community.
Trustees are the critical link between community and
school boards. They ensure public schools meet the diverse
needs of students in their community. They are elected
by the public school taxpayers every three years, during
municipal elections and are directly accountable to
the community. The current nine-member Board will serve
until November 30, 2006.
