YES Canada - EXCHANGE

Are you interested on traveling to Australia, France,

Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Japan,

Scandinavia, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary or Austria? Two spaces are available for LDSB students for this outbound exchange (scholarships are offered).

Paid Military High School Coop Program

Next year the Princess of Wales Own Regiment and the 772 Electronic Warefare Squadron are offering a paid 3-credit coop program second semester during the first 3 periods of the day.  If you are interested in this program you must register this spring.  The next information session is May 12th and held at the Princess of Wales Armouries, 100 Montreal St. at 8:00 p.m.  It is recommended that a parent or guardian also attend with potential applicants.  For information packages please see Mr. Grekul (room 320) or Ms. Forrest-Gregoire (student services).

Applications for Summer Company will be accepted until May 25, 2009. Please forward this message to students, teachers and parents.

 

Summer Company is an Ontario government program that provides students, aged 15 to 29, with grants of up to $3,000 and training to help them launch their own summer businesses. YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange Program

This is a French/English immersion program.

Students must be 16 or 17 and have the basic

ability in the other official language.  The program runs for 6 weeks during the summer months.  A $50.00 participant fee will be required if accepted and you will be provided with a paid employment opportunity in your host community.  For complete program information, please see Employment Opportunities in Student Services.

 

RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarships

RBC Royal Bank Financial Lifeskills Scholarships are designed for students in any stream pursuing studies in any field. We're looking to honour hard work, innovation and solid career direction.

 

To be eligible*, students require a minimum grade average of 65 per cent and acceptance into a Canadian college or university (and/or CEGEP in Quebec) for full-time study in the Fall/Winter session. Ten awards of $2,009 will be distributed to students across the country.
